Formerly a Hudson River lighthouse keeper. Mandy Lamb is a photographer drawn to isolated communities. For years she’s worked in a series of remote locations- on various islands in the Atlantic, at field camp north of the arctic circle, and as a boat cook for seven ships. Lamb’s sailed as far as Tahiti and is currently posted on a commercial fishing boat in the Bering Sea. when home She lives in a decommissioned power plant in rural Maine that she designed and renovated herself. In 2021 she started ML Wax co- using beeswax harvested by local keepers, each candle is hand dipped over a vintage cast iron stove.
